Mammoth Mountain Adventure Center
At the top of everyone’s list is probably the Mammoth Mountain Adventure Center. With their giant climbing wall, 306-foot zip line, and bungee trampoline, the kids won’t be able to get enough! They also get access to the Mountain Bike Park. The Adventure Center is only 4 miles from the Village, offering great activities not just for the kids, but for the entire family.
Mammoth Mountain Bike Park
If your family loves biking, then the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is where you’ll want to go. They’ve got more than 70 miles of trails with a variety of paths for all skill levels. There’s also Kamikaze Park, which is a free-ride park full of man-made jumps and obstacles. The bike park is only open during the summer, so be sure to stop by when you can!
There are several places where your family can hop on a horse and take a leisurely ride through the countryside. You can take an hour ride, half-day ride, or full-day ride. Some even offer week-long journeys into the wilderness. All of these rides are a great way to see the area, experience the outdoors, and learn about some of Mammoth Lake’s history!
Kids love parks! Take them to visit Shady Rest Park, Mammoth Creek Park, Trails End Park, or even the Whitmore Ball Fields. Depending on which park you go to, you can find play equipment, a skate park, volleyball fields, soccer fields, a play area just for toddlers, and baseball diamonds. Some also have picnic areas, so be sure to bring lunch along!Back to blog posts
