Nestled high in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, the Mammoth Lakes area is known for its stunning scenery and for world-class outdoor sports during all four seasons.

During the warmer months, families flock to this area for hikes, camping, boating, and more in the clear, clean mountain air. Like fishing? Take your pick of calm lakes or rushing rivers, all teeming with trout in the 10 to 12 pound range. Rather not get your feet wet? Tee up instead at Snowcreek Golf Course or Sierra Star Golf Course and test your game against the challenges of alpine links.

In the winter, locals and travelers alike come to Mammoth Mountain for some of the best skiing in the United States. Thanks to its position in the heart of the Sierras, the slopes get an average of 400 inches of snow per year and are often still skiable well into the spring – or even as late as the Fourth of July. Skiers and snowboarders are both welcome on the wide range of slopes, from gentle beginner runs at Discovery Chair to the professional level challenge of Dave’s Run.

If skiing leaves you cold, there are plenty of other options for fun in the snow. Take the family to Woolly’s Adventure Summit for tubing and snowplay, ride the gondola for a scenic aerial view, or even tour the mountain from the comfort of your own dogsled. After a long day of play, head back into town for dinner or drinks at one of Mammoth Lakes’ many restaurants. You’ll find everything from take-out to cocktails to fine dining in the town, the village, and the Little Eagle area.

Anaheim is, of course, the home of Disneyland which remains the world standard for theme parks. Step inside your favorite stories with rides, characters, shows, and parades. In addition to Disneyland, Southern California also offers roller coasters at Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags/Magic Mountains, fun and constructive play for the kids at LEGOLAND, or even a day trip down the coast to the San Diego Zoo or to Sea World. Catch a dinner theater show at Medieval Times or at The Pirates Dinner Adventure, or head to the Greek Theater to see your favorite singer or band perform.

Anaheim doesn’t just offer indoor fun. Your vacation rental is located next to some of the best beaches in the world. Book yourself an adventure in surfing, deep sea fishing, whalewatching, kayaking, or jet skiing – or just enjoy a day splashing in the Pacific waters.
